This double-major Bachelor of Commerce offers a coordinated program in Business Analytics and Finance. Core commerce subjects develop foundations in microeconomics, accounting, business law, corporate finance and statistics. The Business Analytics stream covers data management, statistical modelling, predictive analytics, machine learning fundamentals, data visualisation and programming for analytics (commonly using languages such as Python or R), together with practical units on decision analytics and applied econometrics.

The Finance major focuses on financial markets and institutions, investment analysis and portfolio management, corporate financial management, derivative securities and risk management. Students also study financial statement analysis, behavioural finance and topics in financial modelling. The degree typically culminates in capstone or integrative subjects where students apply analytical techniques to real business or financial problems, and there are options for industry projects or a research/honours pathway.

Admission is based on completion of secondary school or an equivalent qualification. Domestic applicants typically require a competitive ATAR or state-equivalent score and satisfactory completion of senior secondary English; mathematics (such as Mathematical Methods or equivalent) is highly recommended because of the quantitative nature of the majors. International applicants are considered on comparable secondary school results (for example, IB or international school certifications) and must meet English language proficiency requirements set by the University.

Applicants with previous tertiary study or relevant work experience may be eligible for admission through alternative pathways. There are also pathways into honours for high‑performing students wishing to pursue a research year in commerce.
