What you'll study

The programme combines taught modules on digital technologies, project management principles and applied research, culminating in an individual dissertation or practical project. Teaching focuses on Building Information Modelling (BIM), information management standards, data analytics, collaborative design and construction workflows, and the organisational and contractual arrangements needed to deploy digital delivery at scale.

Entry requirements

Applicants should normally hold a good undergraduate degree (equivalent to a UK second-class honours, upper division/2:1, in engineering, architecture, construction management, surveying, built environment, or a closely related subject). Candidates with a lower honours degree plus relevant professional experience or professional qualifications in construction/practice may also be considered.

Relevant practical experience in construction, design or project delivery strengthens an application, particularly for candidates seeking a part-time or flexible route. Evidence of competence with digital design or project tools (for example experience with BIM workflows, CAD, or construction management software) is advantageous.
