Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a good UK undergraduate degree (usually a 2:1) in electronic/electrical engineering, computer engineering, robotics, computer science, physics or a closely related subject. Applicants with a lower second-class degree and substantial relevant industrial experience may be considered.

International applicants should demonstrate an equivalent level of academic achievement. Evidence of English language proficiency is required for applicants whose first language is not English; a commonly accepted level is an overall IELTS score around a mid-6 band with no component substantially below that, or an equivalent qualification.

Applicants may also be asked to provide a CV and references, and to discuss proposed project interests with academic staff during admission if applying for research-led project options.
