The Master of Engineering is delivered through a mix of advanced coursework, supervised research, and an applied project or thesis depending on the chosen pathway. Students typically select a specialisation area such as civil and environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, electronic and computer engineering, or systems and software engineering, aligning study with industry needs and research strengths.

• Core advanced topics – subjects commonly include advanced structural analysis, computational mechanics, fluid dynamics, control systems, power electronics, embedded systems, advanced materials and manufacturing, and systems engineering.
• Modelling and analysis – finite element methods, numerical simulation, optimisation, and data-driven modelling for design and decision making.
• Software and instrumentation – programming for engineering applications, real-time systems, sensors and instrumentation, and laboratory-based measurement techniques.

Duration is flexible depending on pathway and mode of study; students may complete the qualification as a full-time one-year programme with an intensive project or over a longer period part time while working. Entry requirements

• Academic background – a recognised bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related discipline with a good academic record. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree plus substantial relevant professional experience may also be considered.
• GPA / academic standing – demonstrated strong performance in prior tertiary study; specific grade/GPA expectations may vary by specialisation and will be confirmed by the faculty at application.
• Research proposal (for research pathway) – applicants to the research stream should submit a brief project outline or research proposal and may need to identify a potential supervisor whose expertise aligns with the topic.
• English language – applicants whose first language is not English must meet the university’s English language requirements via recognised tests or evidence of prior study in English.
• Supporting documents – academic transcripts, CV, and referee reports are normally required. International applicants should also supply certified copies of qualifications and any required visa documentation.
