What you'll study

This degree combines core business disciplines with applied learning to build analytical, strategic and interpersonal skills. In early stages you study foundational topics such as organisational behaviour, principles of marketing, financial accounting, operations management and business law. As you progress you can expect modules covering strategy, human resource management, entrepreneurship, digital business and business analytics. Teaching typically includes lectures, seminars, case studies, group projects and practical workshops, with assessment by coursework, presentations, reports, practical assignments and some examinations.

Most students complete a final-year research project or applied consultancy project that integrates learning from across the course. The programme often offers options or pathways to tailor study towards areas such as marketing, HR or entrepreneurship, and many students take advantage of an optional sandwich/placement year or short work placements to develop workplace experience and employability skills.

Entry requirements

Applicants are usually expected to hold a recognised secondary school qualification such as A-levels, BTEC, an Access to Higher Education diploma, or an international equivalent. The programme welcomes applicants with a mix of academic and vocational backgrounds; mature students and those with relevant workplace experience are considered. International applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English through an accepted qualification or recognised language test.
