Entry requirements

Applicants must hold an associate (AA, AS, or AAS) or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and submit official transcripts. Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA required is 2.25 on a 4.0 scale; applicants below that threshold may be considered for conditional admission. Transfer students with an AAS may need additional credits to meet core requirements — the registrar evaluates transfer credit. A background check is required for admittance. There is no application fee and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Northwestern lists partnerships with many Iowa community colleges to ease transfer and notes accreditation through the Iowa Department of Education.
