Programme overview

The Master of Science in Information Systems at Baker College is a 30-credit Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program offered exclusively through Baker Online. Most students complete the degree in about 1.5 to 2 years. The curriculum combines information systems theory and applied practice, and the program is affiliated with the National Professional STEM Master’s Association (NPSMA). Courses use 8-week semesters and include Extended Reality (XR) learning experiences.

• Information Systems Integration Project I (MIS 6710) — the first of two capstone courses focused on project initiation, systems analysis and system design; capstones typically involve industry‑sponsored projects.
• Additional coursework addresses systems design, hardware and software integration, strategic planning, risk management, financial considerations, quality assurance and ethical decision‑making.
