What you'll study

Core themes explore how health systems operate, decision processes for service coverage, the interaction of hospitals, physicians and insurers, and the role of digitalisation, data and AI. The non-dual track offers Wahlmodule (example topics in semester 4 include Entrepreneurship, Personalmanagement, Marketing, Corporate Finance and 'Kreativität fördern - soziale Innovation'). The programme includes strengthened English modules in semesters 2 and 3 to support international activity and prepares students for an optional semester abroad or a practicum in semester 6. Three practical phases are integral to the dual models; in Dual Classic and Dual Flex these are completed with cooperating organisations.

Entry requirements

Applications for the winter intake are accepted from mid-May until 15 August. Applicants must hold a Hochschulzugangsberechtigung (higher education entrance qualification). The study programme recommends an individual study advisory appointment before starting to identify the best study model. Career prospects

Graduates are prepared for roles in management, innovation and digital transformation across health insurers, hospitals, provider organisations and other health-sector institutions. The curriculum aims to open diverse pathways by combining economic skills with sector knowledge, and dual formats produce additional practical experience and, in the Dual Ausbildung model, a vocational qualification alongside the bachelor degree.

Scholarships & funding angle (general)

Students choose between study models that change funding needs: employed dual students receive contractual remuneration during their study employment, while non-dual students may seek external funding for an abroad semester or internships.
