Concordia College, St. Paul (CSP Global) offers an online B.S. in Accounting delivered with a liberal arts perspective and guidance from industry-experienced faculty. The program is structured for accelerated completion (the major’s 65 credit hours can be finished in five semesters) and is designed to prepare students for CPA or CMA certification and workplace readiness through a curated Career Portfolio.
The degree combines general education and 65 major credit hours focused on accounting and business fundamentals. Program core topics include budgeting, business analytics, microeconomics, organizational behavior, marketing techniques, entrepreneurship and other business fundamentals. Major coursework covers financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, finance management and related accounting subjects. Program outcomes emphasize knowledge of accounting principles across forms of accounting, understanding laws and regulations that affect accounting, auditing and taxes, and development of critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills.
Applicants must submit a completed online application and official transcripts from regionally accredited institution(s) showing a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. Transfer credit of up to 90 hours is accepted. Students who attended a MNSCU college or university should provide an official DARS or MnTC goal area worksheet. Transfer applicants with fewer than 20 college credits must also submit a high school transcript. Applicants need access to a computer that meets CSP Global technology requirements; applicants who do not meet initial criteria may be asked for an academic success essay or additional documentation.
The curriculum is career-connected and intended to ready graduates for roles that require accounting, auditing and finance skills and to help prepare for CPA or CMA certification (candidates should verify state licensure requirements). CSP Global supports students in developing a professional brand and a Career Portfolio of presentations, projects and work samples to demonstrate practical readiness to employers.
Tuition is $420 per credit hour; the stated total tuition range for the program is $24,360–$50,400. CSP Global offers $2,000 partnership scholarships, accepts federal student aid and private loans, and provides military support including GI Bill® guidance, Yellow Ribbon participation, transfer credit for military service and reduced tuition for active-duty service members and spouses. There is currently no application fee for this program.
