What you'll study

• Foundations in Design: visual principles, drawing, colour theory, composition and observational skills that underpin design thinking.

Entry requirements

• Secondary school completion or equivalent recognised qualification.
• A creative portfolio showing recent work; selected examples of 2D and/or 3D work and any digital projects. Portfolios are assessed for originality, skill and conceptual thinking.
• A personal statement describing motivations for study, interests in design and career goals.
• Academic transcripts and references; some applicants may be invited to an interview (in person or online).
• International applicants must meet the university's English language requirements and provide equivalent documentation for academic qualifications.

• Graduates enter a wide range of roles in creative industries: graphic designer, UX/UI designer, product or industrial designer, textile and fashion designer, interior or exhibition designer.
• Other pathways include art direction, design consultancy, visual merchandising, set and prop design, and roles in cultural institutions and museums.
