Japan Ritsumeikan University RAITO KOGYO Scholarship 2026

The RAITO KOGYO Scholarship Fund 2026 is a prestigious privately funded scholarship program established by RAITO KOGYO Co., Ltd. and administered by the Japan Foundation for the Promotion of Public Interest. It aims to support outstanding Vietnamese international students who wish to pursue graduate studies in Science and Engineering in Japan.

This scholarship provides financial assistance to nurture the next generation of researchers and engineers dedicated to contributing to infrastructure development in Japan and globally.


Degree Level

  • Master’s Degree Program (Graduate School in Japan)
  • Doctoral Pre-course (Master’s equivalent program)

Available Subjects

The scholarship is offered for graduate studies in the Science and Engineering fields, with preference for the following majors:

  • Mathematics and Physics
  • Earth Sciences
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil and Architectural Engineering
  • Agricultural Engineering

Benefits

  • ¥70,000 per month for 2 years (total: ¥1,680,000)
  • Payment is made twice a year (April & October, ¥420,000 each)
  • Non-repayable grant-based scholarship (no repayment required)

Eligible Nationalities

Open to international students from Vietnam.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Hold Vietnamese nationality.
  • Be enrolled in the final year of undergraduate studies at one of the foundation-designated Japanese universities (including University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, Tokyo Institute of Science, Waseda University, Osaka University, and others listed).
  • Plan to enter a Master’s program (Science & Engineering) in April 2026.
  • Be academically excellent and of good character.
  • Have sufficient Japanese language ability (JLPT N3 or higher).
  • Be enrolled in Japan under a “Student” visa status.

Application Procedure

  • Application Period: August 20, 2025 – October 23, 2025 (postmark deadline).

  • Completed Application Form (2026 RAITO KOGYO Scholarship)
  • Consent Form (personal data agreement)
  • Copy of Resident Record (Jūminhyō) with valid visa details
  • Academic Transcript (latest)

Submission Method: 

  • Applications must be sent by post.

Selection Process:

  • Based on academic performance, financial need, and character through a document screening.
  • Results will be notified in December 2025, and the final award is confirmed upon enrollment in April 2026.
