Scholarship Overview
The Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association (JTEA) is offering the 2026 Japan Scholarship (Domestic Recruitment) to encourage academic excellence and strengthen cultural ties between Japan and Taiwan.

Benefits
The monthly stipend provided is as follows:
Master’s Program / Professional Degree: ¥144,000 (approximate)
Doctoral Program: ¥145,000 (approximate)
Other tuition and academic expenses may be supported within the budget. The scholarship duration typically covers the standard program length.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be a Taiwanese student currently enrolled in a Japanese university or graduate school (including final-year undergraduates).
As of April 1, 2026, be enrolled in a regular program at a Japanese university.
Be under 35 years old as of April 1, 2026.
