The NNPC – SNEPCo National University Scholarship Award 2025 is now open for applications. The Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), in partnership with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited and its co-venture partners, invites eligible Nigerian undergraduates to apply for this prestigious merit-based scholarship.
This scholarship aims to promote academic excellence and support the development of young Nigerians by providing annual financial grants from the second year of study until graduation.
Degree Level
- The scholarship is open to undergraduate students (Bachelor’s degree level) in Nigerian public universities.
- Students must be in their second year (200 level) of full-time study to qualify.

Eligible Nationalities

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the 2025 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship, applicants must:
Be a Nigerian citizen.
Be in their second year (200 level) of full-time study at a public Nigerian university accredited by the NUC.
Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale or equivalent.
Not currently benefit from any other scholarship in the oil and gas industry (national or international).
Female students are strongly encouraged to apply.
Selection Process
Only applications submitted online through the official portal will be considered.
Eligible candidates will take a proctored computer-based test.
The top 10 candidates from each state and the FCT will undergo academic verification.
Candidates must maintain the required CGPA of 3.5 throughout their study to retain the award.
