- Doctoral applicants: Must hold a master's degree (equivalent to a Chinese master's) and be under 40 years old.
Language Proficiency
- The program offers courses in both Chinese and English. Language requirements depend on your chosen program:
- Chinese-taught programs: Require HSK Level 4 with a minimum score of 180.
- English-taught programs: Require an IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 90.
Important Note
Applicants cannot be receiving any other type of Chinese Government Scholarship at the same time.
Application Procedure
Step 1: Apply Online through the CSC System
- Head over to the Chinese Government Scholarship Management Information System.
- Choose Category B and enter Jinan University's agency code: 10559.
- Fill out the online application form carefully and submit all required documents.
Step 2: Apply to Jinan University (Program Specific)
- Undergraduates: Log in to the Jinan University & Huaqiao University Joint Admissions System. Complete the application and upload all necessary documents.
- Graduates: Visit the Jinan University Graduate Admissions System. Fill out the Silk Road Scholarship application form and submit all required documents electronically.

- Jinan University will review your application materials.

Step 4: Scholarship Nomination and Final Approval
- Jinan University will nominate qualified candidates for the "Silk Road" Scholarship.
- The China Scholarship Council (CSC) will then make the final decision.
