Scholarship Scope and Payment
- Monthly stipend: €500, paid over 10 months per academic year
- Total support: Up to €15,000 over 3 years (bachelor) or 2 years (master)
- Slots:
- Bachelor: 100 regional + 50 Bratislava-region
- Master: 30 regional + 15 Bratislava-region
Funds are transferred to universities, which then distribute scholarships to students meeting academic requirements.
Visas, Health Insurance & Tuition
- Visa: Apply for a Slovak national D visa to enter and then a residence permit for study
- Health insurance: Scholarship recipients gain public health-insurance coverage under Slovak law
- Tuition waiver: May apply at public universities depending on institutional policies
Eligible Nationalities
Open to: All international applicants—including Slovaks living abroad—starting full-time bachelor’s, dual-degree, or master’s programs in 2025/2026
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must:
- Be a non-Slovak citizen (or Slovaks abroad with proof of status)
- Have no residence in Slovakia since 1 January 2020, except for official short-term mobility programs
- Hold a high school diploma (bachelor’s level) or a relevant bachelor’s degree (for master’s level)
- Be accepted or applying to a public Slovak university for a supported field
- Demonstrate strong academic potential with a minimum SAT score of 1100 (SAT taken from 1 January 2020 onwards)
- Submit all required documents, including scanned ID, CV and motivation letter in English, official SAT results, and several signed declarations
No upper age limit; minors need parental guardian approval.
