TechWomen Leadership USA Scholarship 2024
The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) is thrilled to announce the 2024 iteration of the TechWomen Leadership Program, a testament to the United States' unwavering commitment to nurturing the talents and aspirations of women and girls globally in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This initiative, thriving for over a decade, plays a pivotal role in empowering women from diverse regions such as Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East, by linking them with their professional counterparts in the United States. The comprehensive five-week mentorship and exchange program is crafted to engage participants in challenging concepts, foster innovative collaboration, enable networking with industry leaders, and facilitate the discovery and development of unique leadership styles. Moreover, the program offers a cultural immersion into the San Francisco Bay Area and Washington, D.C., ensuring participants return home not only with enhanced skills but also inspired to be trailblazers in their communities.
Understanding the barriers financial constraints can pose, the TechWomen program is fully funded, covering all essential expenses from international travel to accommodation and meals, ensuring talented women can participate regardless of their financial situation. Eligibility criteria include a minimum of two years of full-time professional experience in STEM, proficiency in English, and citizenship in eligible countries. The program seeks women who demonstrate leadership, commitment to their communities, and a willingness to engage in exchange programs, aiming to nurture a network of women who are ready to make significant contributions to their fields and societies. The call for applications is now open until January 10, 2024, inviting women who are ready to embark on this transformative journey, leveraging this opportunity to not only advance their careers but also to inspire and uplift countless other women and girls in the realm of STEM.
