The two selected applicants will be awarded this scholarship of 300,000 JPY towards their postgraduate study at the University of Edinburgh.

Japan
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
- Applicants must be Japanese nationals planning to enter a postgraduate course at a Scottish University
- Applicants must undertake to be active in Japan Scotland Society (JSS) after completion of their studies, (recipients will be expected to report on their studies and activities to JSS after completion of their studies).
Application Procedure

Completed applications should be sent to JSS with the required documentation.
Applications open in January of each year and close on the last day of May.
Selection Procedure
All complete applications received by post-January-May each year, whether from applicants currently in Japan or applicants currently outside Japan, will be considered.
Selection will be made by the board of the Japan Scotland Society.
All applicants will be notified in writing, at the end of July of whether or not their application has been successful (provided a Japanese mailing address has been supplied).
