University of Macau China Athletes Scholarship 2026 , China (Fully Funded | Non-Local Students)
The University of Macau (UM) has officially opened applications for the Outstanding Student-Athletes Admission Scheme (OSAAS). This competitive admission scheme is designed to attract high-performing student-athletes from around the world by offering admission scholarships alongside undergraduate study opportunities.

The OSAAS aims to support students who demonstrate exceptional athletic achievements at national or international levels while pursuing an undergraduate degree at the University of Macau. Successful applicants will receive admission scholarships and are expected to actively represent UM in sports competitions during their studies.
UM offers 30 admission scholarship quotas for outstanding non-local student-athletes.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet both athletic and academic requirements:
Athletic Requirements
Applicants must have achieved one of the following within 2023–2025:
National Level 1 Athlete or above for Badminton, Tennis, and Swimming, or
National Level 2 Athlete or above for other sports, or
Top 8 in international or national competitions, or
Top 6 in provincial-level competitions
Note:
A National Athlete Grade Certificate is NOT required for Squash, but applicants must still meet the competition result requirements.
Academic Requirement
Applicants must take the 2026 National Higher Education Entrance Examination (Gaokao).
Applicants must meet UM’s general university admission requirements.

* Squash applicants do not need a National Athlete Grade Certificate.
Application Procedure
Step 1: Online Application
Complete the online application form within the application period.
Step 2: Upload Supporting Documents
Scan and upload all relevant awards, certificates, and competition results.
Documents must be uploaded in PDF format.
Step 3: Application Results
Applicants will receive application results and sports skill test details by email no later than 19 December.

Important Notes for Admitted Students
UM does not offer an undergraduate major in Sports Science.
Admitted students may freely choose their academic programme. If they fail to meet the admission requirements of their chosen programme, UM will assign an alternative programme.
Students are required to participate in university sports activities and represent UM in competitions.
