The SMART scholarship represents a £3,000 discount that will be applied to every year of your tuition fees (please note: this excludes placement years).

This scholarship is open to internationalstudents of all nationalities.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the SMART Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be classified as an international student, responsible for paying tuition fees.
- Have accepted an offer for a full-time taught program at Staffordshire University, available at the Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, and London campuses.
You are not eligible if:
- You are receiving full or partial funding from a sponsor or another scholarship provider for your studies.
- You are applying for a course delivered by a Staffordshire University partner institution.
- You are receiving any other scholarship or discount from Staffordshire University. In cases where you qualify for multiple Staffordshire University scholarships or discounts, only the one with the highest value will be applied.
- You are applying for a Postgraduate Research program.
Additional information:
- The scholarship is awarded at the beginning of your studies and will be applied as a reduction to your tuition fees.
- The fee discount will be reflected in your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).

Apply for a Qualifying Course:
- Choose your program at Staffordshire University, whether it's offered at Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, or London. Submit your application for the course well in advance to ensure you meet all the program's requirements.
Receive Your Offer and Scholarship Consideration:
- Once Staffordshire University offers you admission to your chosen program, they will automatically assess your eligibility for the SMART Scholarship if you meet the criteria. This means you don't need to submit a separate application for the scholarship itself.
Plan Your Visa (if applicable):
- After you receive confirmation of both your offer and the scholarship award, it's time to secure your student visa (if you require one) well ahead of the program's start date. This ensures you can attend Welcome Week and begin your studies smoothly.
When is the deadline?
There is no deadline for the SMART scholarship, but you must ensure that you submit your application with sufficient time to meet all conditions of your offer and obtain a visa to arrive on time for the start of Welcome Week.
All applications from eligible students will be considered for a scholarship by our International Admissions team. You will be notified of your scholarship in your offer letter and the discount will be automatically applied to your first year tuition fee.
