USA DAR Scholarships 2026
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) awards more than 25 different national scholarships each year to support students in their higher education journey. These scholarships are available for graduating high school seniors, undergraduate, graduate, and medical students across the United States. With opportunities in multiple academic fields, DAR scholarships recognize students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to their chosen field of study.
Degree Level
DAR scholarships are awarded at multiple levels of study, including:
- Undergraduate (College Students)
- Graduate (Master’s Students)
- Doctoral/Professional (Medical, Nursing, Occupational & Physical Therapy, and Law Students)

DAR scholarships are offered for students pursuing degrees in:
- History
- Political Science & Government
- Economics
- Law
- Medicine
- Nursing
- Occupational & Physical Therapy
- Elementary & Secondary Teacher Education
- Chemistry, Math, and Science
- English
- Programs for American Indian Students

Eligible Nationalities
Open to US citizens only.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for DAR scholarships, applicants must meet the following:
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Plan to attend or be currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Provide transcripts (high school, college, or graduate depending on level).
- Submit 2–4 letters of recommendation.
- Upload proof of U.S. citizenship.
- Write a personal essay (1,000 words or less) outlining career goals.
- Provide a one-page resume of activities, honors, and volunteer work.
- Meet specific requirements for certain scholarships (e.g., nursing, medical school, American Indian tribal card, or DAR membership for select awards).
