The Killam Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of British Columbia (UBC) is now accepting applications for the 2027–2028 competition, offering outstanding researchers an opportunity to conduct advanced research in Canada.
The fellowship provides an annual stipend of CAD $60,000 for up to two years and is open to researchers from around the world. The program supports research across most academic disciplines and aims to attract exceptional scholars with strong research potential and leadership qualities.
Applicants must have completed all requirements for their PhD no more than 24 months before the anticipated fellowship start date. Candidates are required to apply through a UBC department or unit, with each department setting its own internal deadline.
The UBC department or unit nomination deadline is November 6, 2026, at 4:00 PM PT. Applicants should contact their proposed UBC department well in advance because internal deadlines are typically earlier.
