It suits students who want to fast-track graduate study—either by enrolling in a planned four-year pathway as incoming students or by taking up to four MBA courses during their senior year to reduce time and cost to completion.
Students take standard MBA courses alongside graduate students. Course examples recommended for the Senior Dual Enrollment sequence include:
The Senior Dual Enrollment plan shows a semester-by-semester pairing of these online MBA courses, taken either one or two courses per semester in sequence, so credits count toward both the undergraduate degree and the MBA.
Option 1 (Four-year Pathway): Apply before beginning your first year at Lynchburg and complete the pathway requirements while maintaining a 3.0 GPA; upon graduating with any bachelor’s degree you are automatically accepted into the MBA program. Option 2 (Senior MBA Dual Enrollment): Current Lynchburg seniors with a 3.0 GPA who are on track to complete their bachelor’s degree may take up to four 100% online MBA courses during their senior year. Students must complete the Request to Enroll in Graduate Courses form with the registrar prior to enrollment.
Because the MBA courses use the same instructors and curriculum as the standard MBA cohort, the pathway prepares students for the typical career trajectories associated with MBAs—management and leadership roles across business functions, enhanced candidacy for promotions, and strengthened credentials for switching into business-related fields. The online format also supports working professionals and graduates relocating after completion.
Undergraduate financial aid continues to apply when MBA courses are taken as part of the Senior Dual Enrollment because those classes are billed as undergraduate credits. Dual enrollment can also reduce total tuition expense: the program materials show increasing tuition savings the more dual-enrollment MBA courses a senior takes (an example table in the source indicates savings up to $7,236 when four courses are taken). There is no obligation to enter the MBA after graduation; however, dual-enrollment credits still apply to the bachelor’s degree if you choose not to continue.
