What you'll study

The program blends management coursework with general education, electives and technical block credit from an associate degree. Key learning outcomes called out by the program include:

• Analyzing business situations to identify operational factors and develop alternatives.
• Selecting communication strategies, policies and procedures that support organizational success.
• Implementing management practices to foster an ethical organizational culture.
• Designing operational processes, structures and strategies to lead and operate organizations effectively.

Program credit structure (as stated by the university): 45 credit hours in the management component; 54 credit hours transferred from an Associate of Applied Science as a technical block; 58.5 credit hours in general education; and 22.5 credit hours in electives. The bachelor portion has a maximum of 28 eleven-week courses; the exact number students take depends on accepted transfer credits.

Entry requirements

Admissions require transfer of a technical or associate degree. A minimum of 12 transfer courses is required; students may transfer up to 28 courses toward the program. General admissions requirements and approval by the university apply.

Career prospects

The degree prepares graduates for supervisory and management-level responsibilities where they will apply decision-making, team development and organizational strategy skills. Typical work would involve analyzing operations, setting policies and communication approaches, creating ethical cultures and implementing processes to improve organizational performance.
