Entry requirements

This is a bachelor’s degree completion program. Applicants must submit a completed OUPI application, have a minimum 2.5 GPA and have earned at least 24 credit hours at the time of application. Students commonly transfer after completing an associate degree or similar coursework from an accredited institution.

Career prospects

Graduates are prepared for roles that connect healthcare practice with technology: managing and maintaining health information systems, improving data accuracy and security, and applying analytics and machine learning to support clinical and administrative decisions. The program emphasizes interoperability, compliance with healthcare regulations and the ability to support implementation of EHRs and clinical decision support tools.

Scholarships & funding angle

OUPI students are eligible for University of Oklahoma scholarships awarded to admitted and enrolled transfer students based on academics, leadership and community involvement. In addition, a fund provides technology stipends; qualified OUPI students can receive up to $1,000 for laptop or software purchases.
