Programme overview

The English: Literature concentration guides students through novels, plays, poetry, short fiction, and creative nonfiction while emphasizing reading, critical thinking, research, and writing. The program is delivered in seated format on the main campus over 120 credit hours and is designed to be completed in four years (eight semesters). Start terms are Fall (August) and Spring (January). The program is I-20 approved and the Program Director is Bob Hanley.

Entry requirements

No previous degree is required. Applicants must submit official high school or GED transcripts; transfer applicants must provide official transcripts from prior institutions. Anderson University uses a rolling admissions process; students are encouraged to apply by December 1 for strongest scholarship consideration and no later than July 1 to begin in the fall semester.

Graduates leave with proficiency in written and oral communication, persuasive argumentation, research, and audience awareness.
