See the degree grade →An Interdisciplinary Business BSBA provides a broad-based business education that combines advanced courses across multiple business disciplines with study outside the School of Business. It suits students who want flexible, cross-cutting curricula—linking business to fields such as government, arts, engineering or healthcare—and who value close faculty mentorship and project-based learning.
Coursework spans multiple business disciplines and includes four interdisciplinary option courses plus a secondary focus of study in the humanities, sciences or social sciences. Students choose one of three tracks: a guided self-designed track, a business and public policy track, or an innovation track. The curriculum emphasizes project-based learning and application of contemporary business tools.
The published program page does not list specific admission criteria. Prospective students work with advisors to develop an individualized program of study once admitted to the School of Business.
Graduates are prepared for roles in sales, finance, management, entrepreneurship and many sector-specific areas such as law, government, public policy, nonprofit, information technology and marketing. Nearly all students complete at least one internship prior to graduation; typical internship hosts have included Calvin Klein, Johnson & Johnson, L'Oréal, Target, TerraCycle, Merrill Lynch, Sun National Bank, the American Cancer Society, the White House, CBS Studios, NBCUniversal, Sirius XM, Madison Square Garden and other organizations.
The program page does not provide program-specific scholarships. Students pursuing interdisciplinary study often combine School of Business financial support options, general university scholarships, internship stipends, and study-abroad funding where applicable. Accelerated and dual-degree pathways can reduce time to an advanced or professional degree, potentially lowering overall cost.
