Programme overview

This cohort program runs three years and is conducted primarily online. It is designed for pastors and other ministry leaders who continue serving in a local church or ministry while studying. The curriculum emphasizes Anabaptist perspectives, engagement with changing culture, and formation through coaching or spiritual direction. Students participate in weekly live synchronous sessions with their cohort and attend multi‑day residencies with guest faculty and mentors.

What you'll study

The program totals 48 units and blends theological, cultural and leadership formation. Key learning elements described in the catalog include:

• Weekly 90‑minute synchronous online discussions with cohort and faculty.
• Residencies: cohort travel for intensive on‑site learning (catalog specifies four one‑week residencies).
• Supervised local ministry practice of at least 10 hours per week in a church or ministry setting.

Entry requirements

• Completed application and a $45 non‑refundable application fee.
• Official transcripts showing a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution (current transcripts accepted if degree is in progress; final transcript required before enrollment).
• If undergraduate cumulative GPA is below 2.5 (4.0 scale), a letter of explanation.
• Short answer responses in the online application portal.
• Two references: one spiritual (from a pastor or ministry leader, not a family member) and one academic.
• A writing sample of three or more pages of original work.
• A program interview after materials are submitted.
• International applicants: proof of English proficiency (TOEFL minimum 550 PBT or 79 iBT, or IELTS 6.5), copy of passport/visa, and statement of financial support.
