What you'll study
This is not a taught course but a sequence of written and oral assessments focused on your doctoral research. You will prepare and submit:
- a Research Proposal (due Month 12; for Direct Track it is a pre-condition to start)
- an Interim Report (due Month 30; for Direct Track due Month 18)
- a Final Report (due Month 48; for Direct Track due Month 36)
Each report is submitted as a PDF via the Institutes online uploading service and is followed by an examination meeting with at least two appointed scientists, one of whom must be a WIS faculty member. The examiners evaluate the written report and the candidates general knowledge; advisors should not attend these examinations.
