An interdisciplinary doctoral programme that combines biomedical, clinical and technological research to address major contemporary health challenges. Campus facilities that support study and experimentation include the Comprehensive Center for Advanced Simulation (CISA), an Anatomy Unit with dissection rooms and an osteological library, biomedical sciences and biochemistry laboratories with cell culture capacity, advanced microscopes (Leica SP8 confocal; Nikon TI Eclipse structured-light fluorescence), epifluorescence equipment, infrared thermography camera (FLIR E95) and a multimode plate reader (BioTek®). Specialized labs for EEG, biomechanics and exercise physiology enable projects in neuroscience, physiotherapy and public health.
