What you'll study

Students are enrolled in the teaching groups of the two individual degrees and must register subjects from both plans. The programme functions as a specific study plan with its own pre‑admission code and a fixed number of places. Practical classes and assessment calendars are coordinated to ensure timetable compatibility. The double degree follows two successive approved curricular plans (Plan 2018 and the progressively implemented Plan 2020); students may be subject to the plan that applies to their year of entry.

Entry requirements

Admission is through the university's standard access, preinscription and matriculation procedures for official degrees. The programme has a published cutoff from recent selection lists (example: final admitted list 25/07/2025: 13.326). Students who wish to abandon the double degree and continue in only one of the two single degrees must request the change at the centre where they enrolled before 31 July of the preceding academic year; eligibility requires having passed at least one third of the double‑degree credits and holding a university access grade equal to or above the minimum admission mark for the single degree in the relevant academic year.

Career prospects

The Pharmacy award is a regulated professional qualification (Farmacéutico). The combined curriculum gives grounding in both pharmaceutical practice and biotechnology, supporting routes into regulated pharmacy work as well as roles in biotechnology research, development and industry. Students who take mobility exchanges must link their exchange to one of the two component degrees, which determines recognition of credits and subjects on return.

Scholarships & funding angle

The university provides information on grants, study aids and mobility scholarships, and administrative management of the double degree (registration, recognition of ECTS, documentation for fee exemptions) is handled by the Faculty of Biology. Specific scholarships and application rules are published centrally by the Universidad de Salamanca and by the faculties involved.
