Programme overview

This is an institutional double degree (Doble Grado) that integrates the Grado en Derecho and the Grado en Ciencia Política y Administración Pública at Universidad de Salamanca. Delivered face-to-face in Spanish, the programme runs over five academic years and leads to two official degrees. Two curricular mentions are offered within the Political Science side: “Administración Pública” and “Ciencia Política”.

The programme is structured as a specific study plan with its own code and an annual intake; it uses ECTS credits and follows the University’s reforms introduced for the 2016 and 2021 study plans. Total credit load depends on the chosen mention:

• Mención “Administración Pública”: 310.5 ECTS in total — 172.5 ECTS from the Law degree and 138 ECTS from Political Science and Public Administration. Yearly ECTS distribution: 1º (63), 2º (61.5), 3º (64.5), 4º (61.5) and 5º (60).
• Mención “Ciencia Política”: 315 ECTS in total — 177 ECTS from the Law degree and 138 ECTS from Political Science and Public Administration. Yearly ECTS distribution: 1º (63), 2º (61.5), 3º (64.5), 4º (66) and 5º (60).

The programme has evolved through approved modifications (initial approval in 2012, reform in 2016 and further modification in 2021); the 2021 plan is being phased in course by course while previous-plan cohorts complete their studies.

Entry requirements

The degree admits a limited number of new students each year (20 places for 2026–27, allocated by drawing places from the two component degrees). Admissions follow the University’s standard access, pre-registration and matriculation procedures; the most recent published cutoff (third and final admitted list on 25/07/2025) was 11.542 (June). Teaching language is Spanish and the modality is presencial (on-campus).

The double degree combines legal qualification with training in political science and public administration, so graduates are prepared for roles across legal practice, public administration, policy analysis, and positions that require interdisciplinary knowledge of law and government.
