What you'll study

The degree requires 30 credits split between an 18-credit core and 12 elective credits. A central core course, Financial Data Analysis and Practice, covers accessing and analyzing financial data, coding financial models in Python, preparing and communicating financial reports, and professional best practices. Additional core subjects include Equities; Fixed Income; Corporate Finance: Evaluating Opportunities; Risk Management; and Portfolio Management.

• Experiential components: Babson College Fund (a two-semester investment research and portfolio management course) and Management Consulting Field Experience (team consulting projects for business or investment clients).
• Representative electives: Business Intelligence, Analytics, & Visualization; Corporate Finance: Raising Capital; Data Science and Business Analytics; Economic and Financial Forecasting; Finance for New Ventures; Financial Decision Tools and Modeling; Financial Trading Strategies; Financing and Valuing Sustainability; Investment Banking and Financial Advisory; Managing Portfolios; plus independent research options.

Entry requirements

The programme lists no GRE/GMT requirement. Typical incoming students report average undergraduate GPA around 3.52 and average work experience of 1–2 years. The program starts in late August.
