What you'll study

The curriculum is a streamlined 40‑credit master’s sequence taught by experienced HIM practitioners and industry experts. The program focuses on healthcare data governance, compliance, analytics, information systems, and quality of healthcare data. Foundational courses required if not previously completed include:

• BIO 2002: The Human Body in Health and Disease (4 credits) — anatomy & physiology, pathophysiology, and medical terminology
• HIM 2102: Introduction to Pharmacotherapeutics (1 credit)

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold a BA or BS from an accredited institution and have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0. Foundational courses must be completed online with a grade of C or better if required. Scholarships & funding angle (general)

Tuition is published at $700 per credit for the 2026–27 academic year and a $75 program fee applies in fall and spring semesters; additional course materials and fees may apply and rates are subject to change. The College advertises a 10% tuition discount for employees of participating partners (Meaningful Work Award) and a Study Buddy scholarship that awards $1,000 when you and a friend or group enroll. Total program cost and time to completion will vary with transfer credits and the individual plan.
