What you'll study

The curriculum is divided into a professional core (seven courses, 21 credits) and a 12-credit elective focus. Core topics include promoting student learning, inquiry and critical thinking, technology integration, assessment and data-driven decision-making, differentiated instruction, and action research. Electives allow concentration through multiple certificate options or a professional studies track.

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold a BA/BS from an accredited college or university and have a minimum GPA of 2.8. Application deadlines listed by term are: Fall — Aug. 20; Spring — Jan. 4; Summer — May 20. Up to six transfer credits from related graduate-level work may be applied to the professional studies elective if earned within seven years.
