Eligibility Criteria
Who Can Apply as a Reviewer?
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must hold the academic rank of Associate Professor or higher, or possess equivalent seniority in research.
- Must not be affiliated with any Danish institution.
- Must demonstrate relevant expertise in one or more of the following scientific domains:
- Bioscience and Biomedicine
- Natural and Technical Sciences
- Biotechnology
- Data and Computer Science

Application Procedure
Reviewer Responsibilities and Scope of Work
Selected reviewers will evaluate PhD applications using DARA’s structured evaluation framework, which emphasizes:
- Project Quality
- Candidate Excellence
- Feasibility of the Research Plan
- Potential Societal and Scientific Impact
Each application consists of:
- A short research summary
- A full 1,500-word project proposal
- Motivation letter
- CV and academic transcripts
- A letter of support from the supervisor
- Optional documents: mentor CV, lab or research environment description
As a reviewer, you will:
- Assign numerical scores (1–5) based on criteria
- Provide concise, constructive written feedback
- Adhere to DARA’s Code of Conduct, including conflict of interest and ethics policies
- Participate in online consensus discussions, if selected

- 12 September 2025 – Review assignments distributed
- 15 October 2025 – Deadline for submitting evaluations
- 31 October 2025 – Deadline for final feedback from online consensus meetings
