The BBMB curriculum blends foundational coursework in biology and chemistry with advanced study in molecular biology, biophysics and quantitative methods. Early study typically covers cellular and molecular biology, general and organic chemistry, physical chemistry principles applicable to biological systems, and calculus or statistics to build a quantitative foundation.

• Core molecular and biochemical modules: biochemistry, molecular genetics, cell biology, structural biology and enzymology.
• Biophysics and quantitative modules: physical chemistry for the life sciences, biophysical methods, computational biology and quantitative data analysis.
