The programme combines core coursework in sustainability theory and methods with applied electives and a practicum or capstone. Core topics typically include systems thinking and sustainability science, environmental policy and governance, climate change and resilience, sustainable energy systems, and methods such as statistics, life-cycle assessment and geographic information systems (GIS).

The programme may request a CV and examples of prior quantitative coursework if applicants have limited quantitative background.
