What you'll study

This programme blends business fundamentals with applied agricultural topics. You will take core courses in accounting, finance, management, marketing and business law alongside agriculture-specific modules such as agricultural finance and farm management, commodity marketing, risk management, production systems, soil and crop fundamentals, and animal production principles.

• Business fundamentals: principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics, financial and managerial accounting, business statistics, principles of management and marketing.
• Agricultural core: farm and agribusiness management, agricultural finance, commodity marketing, agricultural policy and law, risk and insurance in agriculture.
• Production and technical literacy: introductory crop and animal science, soils and nutrient management, sustainable production practices, precision agriculture concepts.
• Practical experience: internships or practicum placements with farms, cooperatives, processors or agribusiness firms; applied projects and a senior capstone integrating business planning and production considerations.
• Electives and specialisation: opportunities to take electives or minors in areas such as supply chain management, agronomy, animal science, entrepreneurship or environmental resource management.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent with a college-preparatory programme, including college-level algebra and English. Admissions decisions are based on secondary school transcripts and any post‑secondary coursework for transfer applicants; standardised test submission follows the university's current policy.

• Recommended preparation: coursework in mathematics (algebra, statistics), biology or agricultural science, and English.
