What you'll study

The Biology programme at Chatham provides a foundation in core biological concepts and technical laboratory skills, alongside flexibility to pursue specialised interests. You will take core courses in cellular and molecular biology, genetics, ecology, evolution and organismal physiology, and gain practical experience through laboratory courses and courses in molecular techniques and instrumentation.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have strong secondary-school preparation in science and mathematics. Typical successful applicants present prior coursework in biology and chemistry and at least algebra or precalculus; physics is recommended but not always required. For domestic applicants, a solid academic record and evidence of motivation for science (such as laboratory experience, science projects or extracurricular involvement) are advantageous.

International applicants should hold an equivalent secondary qualification (for example, A-levels or the International Baccalaureate) with strong grades in science subjects, and demonstrate English language proficiency where required. Specific admissions decisions take into account the whole application, including personal statement, recommendations and any relevant experience.
