What you'll study

This programme covers the interdisciplinary study of families, human development, consumer behaviour and community education with an emphasis on applied practice. Entry requirements

Applicants are expected to hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in a related field such as family and consumer sciences, human development, social work, psychology, public health or education. Typical application materials include official transcripts, a statement of purpose outlining academic and professional goals, at least two letters of recommendation, and a current CV or résumé.

Some applicants may be required to demonstrate relevant professional or volunteer experience working with families or community groups. Where applicable, provision of GRE scores, additional coursework or bridge classes may be requested for candidates whose undergraduate preparation differs from the programme prerequisites. English language proficiency evidence is required for applicants whose prior education was not in English.
