What you'll study

This multidisciplinary master's combines classroom instruction, applied laboratory work and supervised clinical experience to prepare students for roles across allied health. Core themes include diagnostic assessment, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, interprofessional collaboration and population health. Students study the physiology and pathophysiology underlying common clinical presentations, learn standard and advanced assessment techniques, and practise designing and implementing intervention plans tailored to individual and community needs.

• Foundations of Diagnostic Reasoning — clinical decision-making, differential diagnosis, and use of diagnostic technologies.
• Intervention and Treatment Modalities — therapeutic approaches across physical, respiratory, communication and functional domains, including manual and exercise-based treatments where relevant.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, typically in a health-related field such as kinesiology, biology, health sciences, nursing, or a related discipline. Relevant clinical experience or exposure to allied health settings strengthens an application.

• Official transcripts demonstrating undergraduate degree completion.
• A competitive undergraduate grade profile; individual departments publish their typical threshold and will consider the full application package.
• Personal statement outlining clinical interests, career goals and readiness for graduate-level practice-based training.
• Two or more professional or academic references, at least one of which should speak to clinical potential or academic preparedness.
• Résumé or CV documenting relevant work, volunteer or clinical observation experience.
• Successful candidates may be invited to an interview and should be prepared to meet routine clinical prerequisites such as background checks, vaccination requirements and certification in basic life support/CPR prior to practicum placements.

Graduates enter a range of allied health roles in hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centres, community health organisations and diagnostic facilities.
