What you'll study

The degree provides a foundation in central areas of analytic and continental philosophy—logic, ethics, metaphysics and epistemology—alongside specialised courses in Chinese thought and culture. Core philosophy courses typically include Introduction to Philosophy, Critical Thinking and Formal Logic, Ethics, and History of Western Philosophy. Concentration courses emphasise Chinese intellectual traditions and may include Classical Chinese Thought, Confucianism, Daoist Philosophy, Buddhist Philosophy in East Asia, and Modern Chinese Intellectual History.
