Elective options often include corpus linguistics for translators, interpreting studies, translation for public services, or specialised translation in areas such as legal, medical or literary texts.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a good undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as languages, linguistics, translation studies or another related subject, or to demonstrate equivalent professional experience in translation or language work. Where applicants do not have a directly relevant degree, substantial practical experience and evidence of language competence may be considered. You may be asked to submit samples of translated work or to complete a translation test as part of the selection process.
