What you'll study

The degree provides a structured progression from foundational computing and mathematics through to advanced software engineering topics and a substantial honours research or project component in the final year. Early years focus on programming, data structures, algorithms, discrete mathematics and systems fundamentals. Entry requirements

Admission requires completion of a recognised secondary school qualification or equivalent. Applicants are expected to have studied mathematics to a senior secondary level (for example Mathematical Methods or its equivalent) and demonstrate strong quantitative aptitude. Selection is competitive and based on academic results; the University also considers recognised alternative qualifications such as international school credentials, bridging or foundation programmes and recognised tertiary study. International applicants must meet English language proficiency requirements. Applicants with relevant vocational qualifications, work experience or tertiary study may be considered for alternative entry pathways.
