What you'll study

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a good undergraduate degree in history or a related discipline (typically a UK upper second-class honours degree or an international equivalent). Applicants with professional experience, relevant postgraduate qualifications or substantial independent research experience will also be considered.

All applicants whose first language is not English will need to demonstrate English language proficiency to the standard required by the University. Applicants should submit a personal statement outlining their academic interests and a research proposal or indicative topics for the dissertation, and provide academic references as requested.
