Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a relevant bachelor’s degree such as a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science, Bachelor of Biomedical Science or an equivalent degree with appropriate biomedical laboratory content. Candidates with a recognised professional qualification in medical laboratory science or substantial laboratory experience may also be considered.

Entry typically requires evidence of competent academic performance at undergraduate level. International applicants must meet the university’s English language requirements. Successful applicants will usually need to satisfy health and safety requirements for clinical placements (for example, immunisation records and a police check) and may be required to meet any professional registration prerequisites relevant to clinical practice in New Zealand.
