This MSc combines core logistics and supply chain theory with applied methods and contemporary issues such as sustainability, digitalisation and resilience. Teaching covers strategy, operational planning and the analytical techniques used to improve supply chain performance.

Entry requirements

Applicants usually need a UK undergraduate degree at 2:1 level or equivalent in any discipline; relevant professional experience can be considered and may allow entry with a lower academic classification. Candidates with a business, engineering, economics or transport background are well placed, but graduates from other subjects who can demonstrate quantitative ability and interest in logistics are also accepted.

International applicants are required to meet the University's English language standards; typical requirements are an IELTS score with an overall band usually around 6.5 and minimum sub-scores specified by the University, though alternative English tests and pre-sessional English routes are available. Applicants whose first language is English or who have studied previously in English-speaking systems may be exempt.

Other entry considerations include a personal statement outlining motivation and relevant experience, references, and for some applicants an interview or assessment of professional background.
