What you'll study

The programme integrates management theory and practice with specialist finance modules. Typical core topics include corporate finance, financial markets and instruments, investment analysis and portfolio management, financial reporting and valuation, and quantitative methods for finance. Management coverage commonly includes organisational behaviour, strategic management, leadership and managerial economics.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a good honours degree (typically a UK upper second class or equivalent) in business, finance, economics, accounting, mathematics or a related discipline. Candidates with strong quantitative backgrounds from other subjects plus relevant work experience are also considered. Professional qualifications and relevant employment experience can strengthen an application and, in some cases, substitute for formal academic requirements.

Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate competence through a recognised English language qualification at the level required by the university. The programme may request additional information such as a CV, personal statement and references; in some cases standardised test scores (e.g. GMAT/GRE) may be requested.
