What you'll study

The program totals 60 semester credit hours: 14 core classes (42 credits), practicum and internship courses (9 credits), and electives (9 credits). Core training covers the eight CACREP areas: professional counseling orientation and ethical practice; social and cultural diversity; human growth and development; career development; counseling and helping relationships; group counseling and group work; assessment and testing; and research and program evaluation. The Neurodiversity concentration explores best practices and research for working with neurodivergent individuals; students choose among three specializations—Executive Function, Autism, or Postsecondary Disability Services—and may take courses across specializations. Neurodiversity electives are completed through Landmark College and constitute 9 credits (three classes) of program electives; Landmark’s full Neurodiversity Certificate can be applied with separate application and coordination.
