Programme overview

This full-time, 4-year Bachelor of Interior Design taught in Arabic awards 132 credit hours across 42 courses. The programme is internationally aligned — a member of IFI and ICoD and designed to CIDA-level accreditation standards — and combines theory, studio practice, technology training and field visits. What you'll study

Entry requirements

  • Secondary school certificate certified by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain or an equivalent certificate with a grade of not less than 60%.
  • Applicants with under 60% may be considered if they are national athletes/artists representing Bahrain, or have at least one year of relevant work experience after secondary school; the University Council may admit other applicants below 60% at its discretion.
  • Admission includes an interview and assessment test administered by the department.
  • Transfer students follow the university's bachelor award regulations.
  • All admitted students take an English placement test: scores 0–40 require ENG 099 (English remedial). Exemption from ENG 099 is granted for IELTS 5.0 or TOEFL 450 and above.

Scholarships & funding angle (general)

Estimated annual tuition is calculated from the 132-credit programme over four years; the institution lists semester fees (1st and 2nd semester each shown as 1,390.5 BD) and a total of 2,781 BD for the example year. Summer registration is optional, charged at 92.7 BD per credit with a maximum of 9 credits. Partial academic excellence scholarships for the first semester only are listed: high school averages of 95–100% eligible for a 30% scholarship; 90–94.9% eligible for 15%.
